The LCD TV's expanded technology makes it the most up-to-date in high definition televisions today. However does it ever cross your mind how this technology came into existence? Let’s revisit the past and take a journey to the captivating History of LCD TV. The History of LCD TV dates back to late 80’s. Now that’s a concept & technology almost 80 years old! The first liquid-crystal displays (LCDs) display was conceived & created by the electrical engineer George Heilmeier in May 1988. James Fergason, a graduate from the University of Missouri was passed the truncheon of LCD technology and urbanized it further

.
The high-definition LCD display was initiated to the shopper home leisure market in the early 21st century. LCD TV is Liquid-crystal display televisions are television sets that use LCD technology to produce images. LCDs are thinner & lighter and are also available in larger sizes as well. LCD TVs are the most up-to-date high-definition televisions with rich picture and color quality.
LCD-based TVs have a backlight which shines through a liquid-crystal display (LCD) panel to create the image. Since the pixels inhabit in the panel, and not the backlight, the TV's power does not largely depend upon the resolution. Infact what’s more interesting is that many LCDs can preserve supplementary power by robotically turning the backlight down during dark scenes and goes up throughout bright scenes. The most common liquid-crystal displays (LCDs) that are in use at present are mainly dependent on pixels, formed by liquid-crystal cells which alter the polarization direction of the light which passes through them as a result of an electrical voltage. When the polarization direction is altered, most of the light passes through a polarizing layer which is on the face of the display. If the voltage is changed, then the amount of light gets changed.
They had to make a lot of adjustments. When this method called the "reverse pull-down correction" was added the LCD TV produced became a hit. The picture quality was excellent and no sort of picture distortion during transmission of images was witnessed.

Today liquid-crystal displays (LCDs) TVs now are High Definition capable and provide an astounding viewing resolution & a user experience like the theatre. Not only is LCD TV a favorable choice for individuals but also quickly gaining popularity over Plasma TV over an almost same picture quality and a better power efficiency. Today, viewers of television using LCD TV's report having a one of a kind viewing experience. LCD TV's popularity reached new heights and there was no option but to see a complete wipe out of the old CRT as this technology could not be used in the future of television development & manufacturing. To wrap it up; now that you not only the wonderful history of LCD TV but also its amazing capabilities of providing high viewing resolutions which, when connected to all other electronic gadgets, deliver a home theater experience- get ready to ask for more!
