The positioning of the LED lights is at an edge LED, is very interesting. It is positioned sideways so that the beam of light that falls on the center of the screen is sideways and parallel, and perpendicular to the viewer and the screen. Thus it helps in enhancing the image quality to a great extent.
An effective edge LED system replaces the conventional CCFL backlight by positioning the backlights as strips in the panel of the TV, through which the light focuses inwards and falls into a light diffusion panel, thus spreading the light evenly in the entire screen.
The experts feel that a full array LED, where a full- length panel is used mainly in order to illuminate the screen from all the sides as it helps illuminate the pixels in totality, is of much superior quality and produces a better image than any other technology and hence we can see the market being flooded with the Edge LED.
